    Jason A. Waddell

        Jason Waddell was born & raised in Athens, GA.  He is a graduate of The University of Georgia & Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.  While at Cumberland, Jason focused his studies on Estate Planning and Alternative Dispute Resolution.   Following graduation Jason moved to Pensacola with his fiancé Amy Kicklighter.           

        In the summer of 2004, Jason’s wife Amy joined his firm and the law firm Waddell & Waddell P.A. was created.  Amy handles the firm’s Family Law matters.

         Since that time the firm has continued to grow by creating a group of talented support staff and vendors.  In 2006, Amy N. Breazeale was added as partner to the firm creating the newly named Waddell, Waddell, & Breazeale P.A. law firm.  Amy Breazeale handles the firm’s Personal Injury cases. 

        Recently Jason has written two articles for the mentoring committee of the Elder Law Section of the Florida bar (Fall 2008 & Spring 2009) on the topic of starting in Elder Law and on Special Needs trust.

         He spoke at the NAELA Annual Meeting in April 2009 This event was held in Washington D.C.  and focused on maintaining an Elder Law pratice.

        He currently served as the Section Chair for the 1st Circuit  "A" UPL committee (Chair from 2005-2010 on the committee since 2004).  He has recently been appointed as chair of the 1st Circuit "A" Grievance Committee for the Florida Bar.  Both of these committee deal with ethics and a good practice management system regardless of whether you are an attorney or lay person.

        Additionally he has been working with the Mentoring Committee with the Elder Law Section of the Florida Bar to help promote mentoring in the field of Elder Law. 

         Jason is a member of First United Methodist Church.  Amy and Jason have one child who is 4 years old.  They remain active in the community through several different social clubs and organizations.  Jason’s hobbies include fishing, cooking, and photography.   Jason remains a very active UGA Fan is alway happy to discuss college football.
